This website
This website sets no cookies, stores nothing in your browser and loads nothing from third parties. It has no advertising, embedded maps or online forms.
Hosting
The site runs on a server of Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany, as our processor. When you open the site, technical access data such as IP address, time of access and the page requested are processed in server logs to deliver the site and keep it secure (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Visitor statistics
To see how our website and the links we share are used, we run Umami, an open-source, cookieless analytics tool, on our own server; no data goes to third parties. For each visit Umami records the page address (including link codes it contains), referring page, browser, operating system, device type, screen size, language, the country, region and city derived from the IP address, and clicks on our email address and the language switch. The IP address itself is not stored; visits are grouped by a pseudonymous identifier derived from it that changes every month.
Personalised links: when we send you a link to this website, it may contain a short code (for example ?si=…). The code lets us see whether and from which region that link was opened and whether it was passed on, so visits made with it can be attributed to the person we sent it to. We use this only to follow up on our own contacts.
Legal basis is our legitimate interest in understanding the reach of our website and our contacts (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Statistics are deleted after 14 months. If your browser sends a Do Not Track signal, no statistics are recorded. You can object at any time by email.
Email contact
Contact links open your email application; this website sends no messages itself. If you email us, we process your message and contact details to answer your enquiry (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR) and delete them once they are no longer needed, unless the law requires us to keep them.
Your rights
Under Articles 15 to 21 GDPR you have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection. You may also complain to a supervisory authority; in Bavaria this is the Bayerisches Landesamt für Datenschutzaufsicht (BayLDA).
